Cookie Policy

How our website and client portal use cookies and browser storage.

Last updated: 21 October 2026

Client portal sign-in

The portal uses a first-party cookie called __Host-tca_portal to recognise your authenticated session and enforce access to your account. It is set after successful sign-in and expires after one hour, or is removed when you sign out. The cookie contains a random session identifier, not your uploaded files or payroll records.

This cookie is essential to provide the signed-in portal you request, so we do not ask you to accept it through a cookie banner. Blocking it prevents the portal from keeping you signed in.

Temporary browser storage

The portal uses session storage to remember where to return you after signing in. These entries are removed after use or when the browser tab's session ends.

Staff sign-in uses Google through Supabase and may use authentication storage to complete that process. Client sign-in uses the email link and portal session described above.

Display preferences

The public website uses session storage to remember when you dismiss its launch-offer message, so it does not keep appearing in the same browsing session. Staff workspace column choices are saved in local storage on that browser until changed or cleared. These preferences are not used for advertising.

Analytics and advertising

Our website and client portal do not currently set analytics or advertising cookies. If we introduce storage that requires consent, we will ask before setting it and provide a way to change that choice.

Managing cookies and storage

You can delete or block cookies and site storage through your browser settings. Clearing portal data signs you out and can reset saved preferences. Sign out when you finish using a shared device. Your browser's settings do not delete records held by us as part of your accountancy services.
